Ayurvedic treatment and Herbal treatment are two types of treatment used in the cure of various diseases.  Ayurvedic treatment involves various methods such as palliative treatment, purification treatment, fasting, urine therapy, Rasayana therapy, fish therapy and the like, whereas herbal treatment involves home remedies and natural treatments.
Home remedies made at home from natural ingredients like herbs, vegetables, fruits come under herbal treatment. It is believed that herbal treatment is not usually accompanied by side effects to a great extent. This is due to the absence of chemicals in the herbs used in herbal treatment.

The kitchen is the best place to begin home herbal treatment. Herbal treatment is used in the treatment of Acne, Arthritis, Constipation, Body odor and perspiration, Cough, Common cold, Asthma, Dandruff, Depression and the like. Herbal treatment is still used in the curing of diabetes too.
Herbal treatment, otherwise called as Herbalism is a traditional folk medicine practice by using plant extracts. Herbal treatment consists of the use of extracts from parts of plants such as roots or leaves. There are many forms by which herbal medicine can be administered. Herbal wine is an alcoholic extract of herbs with ethanol content. Sometimes extracts of herbs are mixed with honey as a kind of treatment. A number of plants are used in the treatment of various diseases. These plants include garlic in the treatment of infection, Konjac for cholesterol reduction, sweet sagewort for curing cancer, cannabis for pain relief, Hawthorn for nervous tension, Meadowsweet for fever, Peppermint for Bowel Syndrome, Catnip for curing coughs and Poppy seeds for relieving pain.
Ayurveda believes in the massage treatment by which the body of the human body gets massaged by using oil. The body and the mind get relieved of tension and other ailments too by means of massage. Ayurveda considers Sesame oil as the best oil fir for massage. Sometimes mustard oil is also used in body massage. This oil is used preferably in the winter season. Mustard oil is not used in massage during the summer. On the other hand, herbal treatment does not believe in massage of the body.
Ayurveda believes in fish therapy in the curing of Asthma. According to Ayurveda, the fish carrying the medicine can go down the throat quite easily and it cleanses the alimentary tract where mucus and phlegm get accumulated. Mucus and phlegm cause Asthma.
Ayurveda emphasizes the balance of three elemental energies in the human body, namely, Vata or air, pitta or water, Kapha or phlegm. All three should strike a perfect balance within the human body to ensure good health. Ayruveda treatment primarily concentrates its methods to set right the imperfect balance of the three elemental energies in the human body. This is the secret of Ayurveda treatment. These are the differences between Ayurveda treatment and herbal treatment.

ART OF HEALTHY LIFE

WHY AYURVEDA?
THE SCIENCE OF LIFE

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The word Ayurveda derives from the Sanskrit words Ayur (life) and Veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates the wisdom of life. Based on the idea that illness is caused by imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural remedies to achieve a balance between body, mind, soul, and environment.
Ayurveda treatment begins with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation.
The concepts of universal interrelation, body constitution (Prakriti), and life force (Doshas) are the primary basis of Ayurvedic medicine. The goals of treatment help the person to eliminate impurities, reduce symptoms, increase immunity, reduce anxiety and increase harmony in life. Herbs and other plants, including oils and common spices, are extensively used in Ayurvedic treatment. Ayurveda can have positive effects when used as complementary medicine in combination with standard, traditional medical care. Many ayurvedic materials have not been fully studied even in Western or Indian research. Some of the products used in Ayurvedic medicine include herbs, metals, minerals, or other ingredients, which can be harmful if used improperly or without the instruction of a trained physician.
Our five senses serve as portals between the inner and outer realms, as the five great elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth dance the dances of creation around and within us. Ayurveda groups these five elements into three basic types of energy and functional principles that are present in everyone and everything. Since there is not a single word in English to describe these principles; We use the Sanskrit words Vata, Pitta, and Kapha to describe their combinations.
Ayurvedic Medicines:
Ayurveda considers health as a reflection of a person living with nature and disease when this harmony becomes disturbed. A major reason for this is that Ayurveda attempts to normalize body functions with various techniques including food and activity, internal herbal preparations, purification treatments (Panchakarma), and advice on surgical methods (Shalya Chikitsa).
